Instructions

How to Make One Pan Smothered Pork Chops

  • In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder. Rub this spice mix generously on both sides of the pork chops.
  • In a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat, pour in the canola oil. Once shimmering, add the seasoned pork chops and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until they're nicely browned. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  • Lower the heat to medium, and in the same skillet, toss in the sliced onions and peppers. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes, or until they are tender and fragrant.
  • Nestle the browned pork chops back into the skillet, and drizzle the BBQ, ranch, and mustard sauce over the top, ensuring everything is well-coated.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the pork chops. Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F and the cheese is melted.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Savor the delicious flavors of your one-pan dinner!

Notes

Optional: Serve with mashed potatoes or a crisp green salad for a complete meal.
