Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the ground beef with diced onions, minced garlic, and shredded carrots in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Slice the potatoes into thin circles. Layer half of them at the bottom of a greased casserole dish, dotting with butter if using, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the first layer of potatoes.
  • Pour the corn over the beef layer.
  • Layer the remaining sliced potatoes on top of the corn and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the surface.
  • Drizzle the heavy whipping cream evenly across the casserole.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft and the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.

Notes

Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or chives for a vibrant touch. Always ensure the ground beef is fully cooked.
