Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 13x9-inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and softened butter. Mix until crumbly, then press into the baking dish. Bake for 14–16 minutes until lightly golden and let it cool.
  • Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in the sugar, then add each egg one at a time, and finally the vanilla extract.
  • Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled crust, spreading it gently with a spatula.
  • In a bowl, toss diced Granny Smith apples with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and layer this mixture evenly over the cheesecake.
  • In another bowl, mix quick oats, flour, brown sugar, and softened butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until set with a slight jiggle in the center.
  • Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Drizzle with warm caramel before serving.

Notes

For maximum flavor, chill overnight. Ensure crust is baked before adding filling to avoid sogginess.
