For the Mousse

  • 5 oz Dark Semi-Sweet Chocolate Aim for 56% to 80% cacao for best taste.
  • 3 tablespoon Maple Syrup Consider using sugar-free alternatives for keto.
  • 1 cup Brewed Coffee A stronger brew will enhance the chocolate flavor.
  • 4 large Egg Whites Ensure they're at room temperature.

For Garnishing

  • 1 cup Fresh/Frozen Berries Try raspberries or blackberries.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Melt the dark semi-sweet chocolate in a saucepan over low heat. Stir gently as you add the maple syrup and brewed coffee until silky smooth.
  • Whip the egg whites in a clean bowl until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes.
  • Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the beaten egg whites gently, in increments.
  • Divide the mousse into individual cups and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve chilled, garnished with fresh berries and chocolate shavings.
